Office
Companion
The Office Companion is our most affordable emergency calling unit. This device can operate for up to one year from internal AA replaceable batteries and can be mounted on the wall, under a counter, on a desk or even outside. Two buttons are included - an emergency call button, and a cancel call button if accidentally activated. These units are ideal for use in offices, courtrooms, or other locations where the user will be in close proximity to the device. If desired, the Office Companion is available with an optional AC power adapter for permanent installations. This unit can be horizontally or vertically mounted in face up or inverted position. Wireless Companion The Wireless
Companion has
the same features as the Office Companion with the
added feature of mobility using wireless call buttons.
This allows the user to activate the Wireless Companion
within a 60 foot radius of the Central Processing Unit (CPU)
shown above. Note the two antennas on top of the CPU.
One is used for transmitting VHF or UHF radio transmissions.
The thinner wire on the front is for picking up signals from
the wireless call buttons. Two buttons are supplied.
Additional buttons with the same code can be added as desired
for $50 each. This unit operates from 110 volts AC and
is equipped with a backup battery for operation in the event
of power failure.

Typical range is up to one mile to a portable radio, three miles to a mobile radio or 5 miles to the average base station. These units are well suited for applications where a single person, such as a judge in the courtroom or other situation where mobility is not generally required.
