Early in 2004, we were privileged to see a new radio being developed by Relm Wireless.  In a word, the radio was designed to be in a word, revolutionary!  We are pleased to introduce this new radio for 2005!  It is known as the RP3000 series!  The RPV3000 is the VHF model and the RPU3600 is for operation in the UHF range.

Relm Wireless has developed new state of the art radios with all the features you would expect from a top of the line radio such as the Motorola EX600 series.  In particular, reliability, small size, exceptional battery life, man down alarm, and built in 2-way paging.   The new RPU3600 is comparable to the Motorola EX600 plus it offers the additional features of Voice Storage AND selectable audible or vibrate alert AND user programming from the Keypad!  The RP3600 series radios Mil-Std-810 C/D/E and use the highly secure RP3 external microphone connector.

What do these features mean to you?  Let's look at a few examples.  A medical clinic user wanted a radio that would allow nurses to alert doctors when a patient was ready in an examining room.  The 2-way paging capability of the RP3600 series radios allows the nurse to individually call a doctor without disturbing the doctor or the patient.  With the doctor's radio set in the vibrate alert and message record mode, there is no disruption.  The message can be played back at the doctor's convenience.

A volunteer fire chief wants the ability alert personnel equipped with selective call activated pagers and/or radios.  With the selective call encode feature, this is easily accomplished.  All types of emergency first responders can switch their radios to silent alert with voice storage for use while they are in church or other areas where they do not want to disturb others.

A police officer may have a need to coordinate activities with another agency.  The other agency may use a frequency not already programmed into the radio (even though it has 128 channel capability).  The officer can program any desired frequency within the operation range of the radio (VHF or UHF) using nothing more than the DTMF keypad.

A golf course grounds administrator needs a radio capable of encoding DTMF codes for control of sprinklers.  The RP3600 series radio meets this requirement since it can both decode and encode DTMF codes.
