Refrigerated vending machines are EXPENSIVE! You already know that. Unfortunately, the vandals who break into this machines to gain access to the cash drawers don’t care what damage they do as long as they get what they want.

A few hundred dollars lost as the result of a machine being vandalized is often much less than the cost of repairing the machine. So what do you do to stop the problem? First, you become proactive. Reactive action rarely solves the problem. So how do you get proactive?

The Quick Talk Reporter is a weatherproof self contained, battery powered radio alarm annunciation system. That’s the Reporter pictured below on the left. It measures just 5.25” x 5.25” x 2.5” and weighs just one pound. Power is provided by six AA batteries with a life expectancy of up to one year in normal use. The Reporter is available in either VHF or UHF models and comes complete with a programmer and magnetic sensor switches that can be attached to the cooler door with double stick tape.

Once installed, the Reporter will send a voice message when the cooler door is opened that announces the location of the machine broadcast to an associated 2-way radio, either your own system or over the patrol frequency of a participating law enforcement agency. A remote wired on/off button is provided to allow enabling and disabling the unit when the cooler door is opened for service or removal.

The Reporter is not meant to be installed in every machine but for tactical use after hours on a random selected basis.
