WorkTalk, the total communications
system especially for business use!

Wireless serves business in a number of different ways.  We call it WorkTalk, the ability to communicate without wired connections.  Basically, our services are categorized as On-Site one way paging/notification, 2-way On-Site communications, Mobile fleet, and Command & Control.  Actually, there are two other very important categories - Service, and Replacement of expendables (i.e. Batteries, etc.).  By the way, if you are reading this material off line, go to www.info4u.us/BusinessSpecials.html for an on-line version of this material.

On-Site personal paging systems are private, efficient, and affordable!

On-site wireless paging provides a selective and private alterative to wired PA systems.  The ideal use for this technology is in churches, hospitals, restaurants, and high noise level manufacturing areas.  Unlike public paging, there are no monthly airtime fees.  You have a choice of audible or vibrate alert models with numeric or full text display.  We offer desktop sending units or for larger users, we offer PC network integrated systems with range to meet your requirements.  Additional information is available by clicking on the picture at the left or at www.falcondirect.com/business/airpage

Our most affordable radios are
ideal for hospitality and retail use!

Choose from offerings by HYT, ICOM, Motorola, Ritron, and TEKK - the leaders in affordable on-site communications with prices starting at well under $200! The ultra lightweight Motorola VL50 (under 5 ounces) has selectable audible or silent alert making it ideal for retail clerks and restaurant servers.  The price is less than a pager and it has 2-way communications capability!  Our low priced XT model by TEKK is MIL-SPEC rated and field programmable with an ordinary PC and optional programming kit.  The Relm JMX series has the lowest operational cost of any radio, and the ICOM F11S series is available with a five year warranty.  The Ritron SLX even has built in voice encryption!  More information is available at www.info4u.us/BusinessHTs.pdf

Communicate directly with large groups from any 2-way radio with LoudMouth!

Our new LoudMouth wireless PA system is completely portable for effective crowd notification in times of emergency.  Just set it up and plug it in to a vehicular AC adapter, to standard AC power, or operate for short intervals from an internal rechargeable battery.  A single LoudMouth can be heard for up to one mile!  Use multiple units if necessary - all controlled by your handheld radio!  The indoor/outdoor speaker provides up to 95 dB of audio (about comparable to a vehicle siren) at 50 feet.  They WILL hear your message! Additional information is available on the Internet at www.usa-radio1.com/prices/loudmouth.

How does a customer get assistance
when no one is present?

Everyone has to take a break or step away to take care of a task.  So what happens when someone comes to the reception desk, or other public access area and finds no one there?  If your facility is WorkTalk equipped, they simply push a button on a gadget called Quick Assist!  At the push of a button a voice message is transmitted directly to associated 2-way radios indicating that a customer/client needs assistance.  Quick Assist is simple and affordable!  The standard model is just $289 with no installation or AC connection required. You can go to www.usa-radio1.com/quickassist for more information.

There are two versions of
WorkTalk 2-Way devices!

The first is the Motorola DTR 550/650 series of digital radios.  The advantage to these radios can generally be summed up as digital (meaning that more than one conversation can be carried on simultaneously), freedom from interference, privacy, and security (because it is digital).  No license is required since the DTR radios operate in the 900 MHz ISM frequency band.  The price is reasonable - in the $300 price range.  For a specific quote, please go to www.falcondirect.com/EZQuote.dot.  Additional information on the DTR is available at www.falcondirect.com/DTR.  Presently, the DTR is available only in a handheld portable model.  If you need other capabilities, you may want to consider the standard WorkTalk system described below.

The standard WorkTalk system
operates on either VHF or UHF!

The standard WorkTalk system operates on either the VHF or UHF frequency bands and is compatible with most brands of two-way radios including Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, and Vertex.  There are two ways to communicate with Wireless Call Boxes, LoudMouth units, Quick Assist units, or ACR Reporters (more about these products shortly).  You can use a personal 2-way communicator such as the SLX (shown at the top left) or the Patriot Stationary Radio Unit (SRU) shown below the SLX.  The SLX can be used by maintenance personnel, administrative staff, hospitality staff and anyone else on the move.  Each SLX radio comes with a rugged flex antenna, pocket clip, battery and desk charger.

The Patriot SRU is a completely self contained radio that operates from AC power.  No larger than a desk calculator, the SRU can be set up virtually anywhere!  The price of both units is the same - just $299 complete!  Additional information is available by clicking on the pictures at the left.

How do you make sure you
have adequate coverage?

The range of wireless communications devices is limited by many factors including frequency band, power, antenna location, terrain, and building density.  Sometimes, as needs change, you may find that you need a "booster" to provide solid communications between users.  We offer an optional device known as a "Repeater" that can be used to extend coverage between radios over an extended area.  Normally, repeaters are installed in a centralized location with AC power available.  A complete system including an external antenna is available for only $1,295.  Note:  FCC license required for UHF repeater operation.  See FCC licensing section for additional information.  Additional information on the Liberty repeater is available by clicking on the picture at the left.  The Liberty repeater works with all commercial grade radios by Ritron, Relm, Maxon, Midland, HYT, ICOM, Motorola, Kenwood, TEKK and Vertex.  For compatibility information, please give us a call at 1.800.489.2611.

Do you need an FCC license
to operate the WorkTalk system?

If you are a federal government agency, your license is issued by IRAC.  Everyone else comes under the jurisdiction of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).  All WorkTalk components, with the exception of the Liberty Repeater and DTR radios are available in your choice of VHF or UHF operating bands.  The DTR and VHF radios do not require a license.  UHF requires a license and is normally considered to be the preferred choice since Liberty repeaters can be used (normally recommended for golf course use).  The cost of obtaining an FCC license is generally under $500.  Call us at 1.800.489.2611 for additional information.

Outpost XT, provides public access
to the WorkTalk System!

Outpost XT is a wireless 2-way call box that can be easily installed at any location of your choosing.  No wiring or ditching is required.  It runs from self contained easily replaceable batteries!  The XT is normally installed unattended gates, loading docks, or parking areas. Our most affordable model is the Series 1 priced at just $459! The Series 6 XT (shown at the left) can communicate with handheld or fixed radios (more about this later) and is priced at just $798.  The Series 7 XT, priced at $898, can append a voice prompt to make the system easier to use for a first time user.  Additional information is available at www.usa-radio1.com/prices/callboxes

How do you know when critical
equipment has malfunctioned?

A pump or electrical malfunction can quickly develop into a BIG problem!  The problem is how do you know if there has been a malfunction so that you can take action before the problem becomes more serious?  The answer is that you need an AC Reporter (ACR).  This incredible gadget sends a voice message over your 2-way radio to report a changed condition (AC failure or vice versa, heat overload, or other message suitable for your requirements)  You can learn more about the AC Reporter on the Internet at www.falcondirect.com/ACR

How do you control remote
devices without walking?

The answer is you get a TeleSwitch!  Anything that is switch controlled can be remotely controlled by a standard 2-way radio.  We recognize there are sophisticated fail safe systems. but for applications where control of a single device or two, the cost of traditional remote control technology may not be justified.  That's why we offer TeleSwitch!  You can learn more about TeleSwitch by clicking on the picture at the left. It's only $995.  By the way - we can also remotely control gates by radio!  Additional information is available at www.usa-radio1.com/gateguard

Have you heard about
TotalCare Service?

We think service should be discussed BEFORE the sale!  Those who fail to review their service options up front often suffer some major surprises later on.  Are you paying too much for service on your 2-way radios?  Turnaround time for repairs causing you problems?  It doesn't have to be that way!  We'll put a cap on cost and virtually eliminate downtime.  Most major brands are supported including HYT, ICOM, Midland, Motorola, Relm, Ritron and TEKK as well as all Falcon Direct products.  For additional information, visit our web site at www.falcondirect.com/service.

What are YOU paying for replacement batteries?

Better yet, we are now offering the highest quality batteries at great prices and your choice of an 18 or 30 month no hassle warranty.  If you want the best VALUE on replacement batteries for your 2-way radios, please visit www.falcondirect.com/MyBattery.  You'll be glad you did!

Personal safety beacon finds
personnel needing assistance.

The new Tracker FRT can tell you when someone is down, then tell you where they are!  With the optional ET egress transmitter, a lost or disoriented employee can switch to the egress switch mode for directions to the nearest exit.  No firefighter should be without the Tracker FRT. Additional information is available at www.falcondirect.com/frt.
